Weeks ago he was going to the Shrewsbury game tomorrow night - it is almost a home game for him in Wales.

Now he claims he has "ripped up his Shrewsbury ticket"

as you have blocked my private message to you, I shall say it publicly.

My step-father died at the beginning of October. He was also my mother's carer - she's 90 and in a wheelchair. We have had to put her in a nursing home. That caused me to miss a month's worth of football. On a happier note we always spend August in France with my wife's French family also like to take winter vacations.Life does not revolve aroud football. We go whenever we can!

From the way you write you seem to be very young, so there is no reason why you should understand. But you should catch your breath for a second and listen to yourself. You have told us you would probably walk away if it was s/t renewal time now and you have boasted about the valiant boycotting being conduted by the rest of your family. Yet you then hector people about loyalty and judge them because they have only been to ten games?

Don't let the here-today-gone-tomorrow ups and downs of a football team turn you sour and bitter. There's plenty of time for that when you're old and grey and have tasted real loss and disappointment in your life...

The club is at its lowest ebb - and yes, even lower than when we were playing at Selhurst. Back then we had camaraderie, a shared cause, a hunger to unite and restore better days. We had Robert Lee, Bob Bolder, John Humphrey et al - players who grafted for the shirt and the fans - and a manager who worked miracles on our behalf.
What do we have now? Mercenary players (most of them awful). A third-full stadium on match day. Divided support. Fighting in the stands. An owner who never attends the matches.
Where are the positives we read and hear about? I keep hearing about the good things going on behind the scenes, but what about improvements on the pitch, the place where it should all come together on a Saturday and a Tuesday? Fans are leaving the stadium with their heads down, and the despair is all too obvious to see. Every true fan can deal with the lows of supporting a football team, for these are to be expected as a matter of course, yet we all live in the hope that better days are just around the corner. Under the current ownership, however, better days are nothing but a pipedream.
Once M. Duchatelet sells the club, the fans will reappear. The stands will fill up again. The feelings of hope will be restored. And the last three years will be seen for what they truly are: an unmitigated disaster.

No. Ol' Reamsy says that protestors are not welcome on the forum- maybe they're banned from reading it too. "By August it will be a pro-Charlton forum". He has the habit now of threatening to expel anyone who deviates fromThe Party Line. It will exist purely as cheerleader for Roland.
