Grand Prix thread The "I thought it was next week" Japanese GP chat and Predictions

I think this weekend is going a bit too smoothly for Lewis...I fear that something may happen before the end of this race.

 

I just think Bottas was trying a bit too hard and not working with the car. He didn't do too badly with the harder tyre though. And was quick on his Q3 lap. I believe it's just a lack of confidence.

So this is Palmer's last race...sad to see him go. I believe he is better than his results have shown...but...results matter.

 

I am very serious.

 

The only way this race, and this title doesn't go to Lewis is either car problems or someone takes him out. I'm not his biggest fan, but I don't want it to be decided that way.

I've got a feeling this race will be just one of those were Lewis and Mercedes nail it, he'll just drive away at the start and that will be the last we see of him.

I agree , I’m not saying I want anything to happen , but surely he is due a failure of some description , or get involved in an accident .

I want a British driver to be WDC , but , as a fan of F1 , I want it to go down to the last race .

 

Have to be honest , I never really warmed to him . He did seem to have started to turn it around though , but too little too late .

When you saw Prosts face earlier in the season after Palmer slagged off the car , you knew he was not liked .....

 

Prost would never slag off a car and get fired! Oh... hang on...

Damn... well that's an absolute letdown.

How have we not had these two really race head to head most of the season?

 

They said spark plug issue on the grid, but that sounds an easy fix so probably something else in the end.

 

Blimey.... massive let down. Thought we might actually get some on track fighting between these two today.

 

Vettel has had so much bad luck this season.
