I listened to the commentary for the United v Midget Land game on TalkShite, last night, and the way that the bias turned to despair was wonderful to witness! It started off with the two idiot commentators giving it large for United, and end with them resorting to a complete slagging. It reminded me of those movies where the spurned lover turns psycho, and ends up destroying the object of their desire for the simple reason that it was unable to live up to the psycho's unreasonable expectations. Most (a good 90% I'd say) of the blame was laid at the feet of the manager, with very little analysis of why a team of players, one of whom is probably paid more than the combined total paid to the opposing side, can play so badly and with so little passion and commitment. I didn't watch the game, but it sounded like it was an utter embarrassment! I really cannot understand why Talkshite has adopted United and 'Pool as its two pet sides, but that aside, why can these numpties not accept that both United and 'Pool have had their time in the sunshine, and are, now, no better than Stoke or Everton, or even the Spanners? I really hope 'Pool get slaughtered too, just so I can hear Mickey Dim trying to polish that particular turd, once more.
It's a long story, Stan. I had Talkshite on in order to get updates on the Spurs game. Talkshite's natural bias had them covering the ****ty United debacle. It was funny. United, by the way, are becoming as embarrassing in Europe as Arsenal have been for years. Arsenal's redeeming feature - and it is their only one - is that they get humiliated by the like of Monaco and Barca.
