You have to expect it'll be something tacky with an over-reliance on our nickname for ideas and further enhancing our reputation as 'that club where everyone's a bit too attached to their cheesy nickname'. If we can come up with something meaningful it's a great idea.
Honestly - "We're 'ull Citeee.....we're 'ull Citeeeeee". Just repeat that for four minutes and release it as a 7" single. It gets the point across just as well as 'City till I die' without having the political baggage attached. It's also a more poppy catchy melody meaning a better chance of hitting the UK top 40 number 1 spot. We could even get DJ Tiesto to remix it for the B-side. Please don't let the squad be singing "Can't help Falling in Love". It would actually be worse than Crystal Palace's 1990 "Glad all over".
Vinnie - with all due respect to him - isn't the only songwriter around who could do it. There's plenty and some are even Hull City AFC fans!
Oh don't lean on me man Cause you can't afford the ticket I'm back on Suffragette City...
Hi OLM I have Ken Scott the Producer/engineer from all the Bowie Ziggy era stuff coming up to give a public talk at 'my gaff' on Wednesday 30th April if your interested? He also did the Beatles, (and them as solo acts), Lou Reed's Transformer (inc. Walk On The Wild Side, Perfect Day), Pink Floyd, The Tubes, Devo and many many more etc etc (check his CV out!). He talks a lot about the recording with Bowie and the Spiders and plays the individual parts of Life On Mars. When you hear just Trevor's bass line on its own, it has an extra poignancy! You're welcome if you can make it? Let me know... Cheers LT
How did "Can't help Falling in Love" become our anthem, sorry to those that feel precious about it but I hate it.
Smiler, local band and city fans. I wasn't sure if they did cover versions at all but a quick look on youtube reveals that they do sometimes. Smiler ---- One step beyond.

Yeh that's the classic one, and so gives some continuity to the past. And it stresses Hull City not just Tigers. Also it reminds those who don't get it get that we play in amber and black, not orange or yellow as some want to think. So it could serve several useful purposes.
Cheers LT, sounds good but I'm in hospital the day before and I'm not sure I'll be around, would it be a problem to let you know last minute?
