To get a career in journalism - you have to stick your neck out. There's a fine art to attaining the balance.

You'll notice on sky that Geoff Shreeves is particularly good at the mates act, but will never shy away from a difficult question, nor repeating it should the answer be deflected.

Today's Daily Mail reporting that Carol will be sacked if we lose tomorrow. Also reporting that owner is on the brink of abandoning his foreign coach policy, and bringing in an experienced British manager.

The story is also on Mail Online.

Strategic leak to head off fans protest anger tomorrow ?

Too little too late. And it's blatantly obvious that we're going to lose tomorrow.

I don't object to a foreign coach. Just need one that has actually managed and in a pedigree league. Look at Aitor Karanka, assistant manager at Real Madrid, and has done well over the last two seasons.

Probably can name a few more. If any of them lose their jobs, there would be a string of clubs (some premier league) lining up to have him there.

Cannot see anyone itching to get Guy Luzon to manage their team. Probably as he's terrible. Same with this Fry bloke. Once he goes, that'll be the last anyone hears of him.

I think so. Roland keeps his actions secret as a rule. Can you imagine him phoning up The Mail to tell them this?

Ditto Bob Peeters, having failed again after Charlton at a poor level in Belgium.

Maybe the penny has finally dropped, even for someone as obtuse as RD?

Just read the Mail online- Roland is "considering " getting a British manager with Championship experience. OK. Who will choose him? Our CEO has gone underground, RM is non-exec, maybe they'll just auction it to the cheapest bidder, although Iain Dowie is not currently employed in a managerial capacity.

If it did happen, two thoughts-

9 points wasted under Fraeye. Could be vital come the end of the season

Would be a small baby step towards the return to being a normal football club

If he does start buying "British" and English league experienced is that his way of saying "my experiment has failed miserably?"

My theory is that Carol's been hung out to dry. Roland's said to him "You've scouted these players, now manage them you w****r".

What is needed right now in this order

    1) A Manager with Championship experience
    2) Sack Fry and the other Belgian bun who assists him
    3) An Assistant Manager with Championship experience (Ramsey from QPR would do)
    4) Sack Cuddles
    5) Re-appoint Reg as Chief Exec.
    6) Sack pointy head as a non-exec director and ban him from the Valley
    7) Sack Olly Grooms
    8) If we are going to keep Jase with the first team then appoint a Dev Coach with a history of developing players.

No, no. I agree. Think he lacks the personality of some of his predecessors.

Flores at Watford, Wednesday's new boss, there are some managers that have pedigree and no previous experience of English football, but at least people have heard of them and they've managed at a decent standard of football. We wouldn't object to one of these managers, it's just the nobodies that no one has ever heard of that we employ!

Olly Groome is a Lidls version of the old Iraqi Information Minister.

Yes, the phrase is 'experience in British football', not 'British manager', though there are some good ones availible, so I don't see any need to muck Gillingham or Burton around, plus pay off their contract. However, thanks to RD, the situation is beyond just a managerial change, though it needs to be done soonest. The new manager needs to be given control of the squad. KM needs to be removed from the club, and we need a good CEO, with championship experience (Curbs?) to oversee the running of the club, find decent scouts and help control the finances. This should in no way be Carole Frey, as he has already shown his scouting talents, and I don't want him anywhere near our club.
So Frey and Meire out. Two experinced guys in (and to hell with not paying what Lambert/Clough want and getting a cheaper alternative - that thinking is why we are where we are now). Imediate planning for the january window.
Oh yeah, and could we have a player trainer, as I don't understand why our fitness levels are so low.
