Seriously though they are a problem and have wiped out a colony of bees in the hamlet. The more normal size hornets are being reduced in number by my wife's jam and beer trap, but we rarely see these larger ones, though they are about. You really don't want to be stung by either type and are advised to get down to the doctors or A & E for a jab within 30 minutes.
