So, spooky stats sometimes do happen! First #watfordfc Sat-Tues back to back home wins for 6 years since 29/10/05 & 1/11/05!

We also won the next 2 (Away to Hull & Home to Sheff Weds), and drew the next 4. Would happy to go on a run like that!

Morning all from Bristol, another day another dollar. Great result for SD and the boys last night, had a quick look at the WO it is amazing that there are hardly any comments on the match thread as we won AGAIN!!! Just the other week there were so many negative comments post match, now we win 2 games there are hardly any comments! I suppose it gives them nothing to moan about <yikes>

U'Orns

Funny you should say that...Luke Ashmead said on 3cr that after a game lately he's been inundated with Watford texts but last night he got 4! lol

Morning all

Good to see the signs of improvement continue last night. We played some decent football in the first half and looked so much more confident than of late...even Loach made positive decisions, coming for and getting the ball. We thought afterwards that if Eustace and Taylor had been fit they might not have got into this team. The only real weaknesses seemed to be Dickenson, who looks very beatable at the moment, and Forsyth, who was woeful and seems to be feeling the negative response from elements in the crowd. Hogg and Buaben give our central midfield so much more mobility, much quicker getting forward, persistent in the tackle and nt getting in each other's way. Iwelumo is what he is, but is winning and holding up more balls each game and does a lot of talking and organising. Marvin has his appetite back, Hodson was composed, hard to get past, gets forward when he can and passes to his own team and Mariappa and Nosworthy had the back sewn up. Perhaps there were too many log balls in the second half but some of that was probably due to the effort and the closing down evident on Saturday and throughout the first half. It all made the 80-mile drive home much easier...

Morning all
Just to say I won 5p off my Seagulls mate. He was all confident yesterday, said they would murder us. I said let's have a fiver on it. He said make it 5p, so I guess he wasn't so confident after all.
Did they play in that horrible septic green away kit?

Morning all - My thoughts on last night.

- We played some excellent football and the influence of an attacking midfield player in The Prince is obvious, it is something we have badly missed.
- Defence was solid, although Dicko "got lost" a few too many times for my liking, although I think Forsyth needs to track back with their RB a little more positively.
- The crowd seemed to have a "game of 2 halves as well" - brilliant in the second half and really got behind the team, but I hated the ironic cheers when Forsyth got taken off.
- I did not think that Forsyth had that bad a game that he deserved all of the stick he got, yes he made a couple of mistakes, but they put 2 players on him everytime and that is not easy to play against. Plus if we put a long diagonal up to him, then we needs players around him to pick up the pieces - and to be fair, he wins the majority of those headers.
- But in saying that, I would have subbed Forsyth for Kightly and left Yeates on.
- We saw the best of big Chris last night, he does not have the legs to run the channels or run onto balls - this is what is left of hos game.
- Marvin was excellent, just did not connect properly on his shots. Another night he would have got a couple.

It is clear the changes we have made have made a huge difference, I suppose the question is "would SD have made these changes if the injuries had not forced him to?".

A few weeks off as I am not going up to 'Boro and watching from home - so Pompey next and the West Herts Beer Festival as well!
