I do agree with you though; we have a language to use, so why not use it properly. I think we need a thing like the L'Académie française or even the Icelandic Language Institute to protect english as a language.

And before you language policemen jump on me English are the people and english is the language, but if english and language are together you have the English language (or the language of the English).
