Well hopefully he will suffer the same rough start SD did and we can capitalise on that next week!! 3 points there is a good way to bounce back from the let down of Boro'.

 

It was nice to see that offices, schools, the police station and the buildings around the green in the center of cambridge emptied to observe the 2 minute silence. There was a council worker who set of a flair at 11:00 to signal the start and then another at 11:02 to signal the end. Almost everyone around stopped and stood to think. It was nice to see.

 

Was watching the cenotaph on the telly ! stood to attention.

 

Hopefully that will be on the i-player. This is the first year i havent watched at least part of it. I will be watching any services on sunday.

 

I will be attending the parade on Sunday in Gloucester, prior to travelling to Paris later in the afternoon

 

I was in Sainsburys London Colney and the whole shop stopped and stood to attention for the full 2 mins. you couldn't hear a sound so they must have done the same next door in M&S. A great deal of respect was shown by all.

 

Its really good to read these "respect" stories! Long may it continue!

Thats good to hear. Unfortunatly i had a tutorial at 11 so i was heading to that, but i was going to be in the shopping center and i did see several shops empty . Lets just hope that these things were the norm and there were no idiots like last year. Although i suspect Sunday will be the hot bed if there will be one.

 

FA Cup 1st round this weekend - who wants the Steptoes to lose to Northampton tomorrow, and who wants them to make it to Round 3 for us to give them a walloping (assuming we get drawn against them)?

The fact I'm asking, you can probably guess which I'd prefer.

I must admit, they are very low down on my radar these days... I do sometimes look for their result and see how well they are (or not) doing down there.

I guess I'd like a little run for them to distract them from the league and for a chance to play them!

I meant to take note at 11, and stop what i was doing, but i was having a particularly stressy time in my kitchen, having covered it with ice cream mix because the whisker lid came off! I did stop after i cleared it all up, i'm sure noone would mind if i was a few minutes late. I also missed noting 11/11/11 11:11...which i'd meant to do..today has been a complete disaster so far! lol...now i'll have to wait until 12/12/12 12:12..which really isn't the same!

Still, wearing my poppy with pride (the second of the year..not bad for me, usually i lose far more!). We will remember them.
