The Hornet's Nest

I had to chuckle the other day when some of you were talking about children moving out. They may not live with you but there are still things you find yourself doing for them.

My eldest daughter and her family want to come out here to live, but have found it very difficult to sell their house. Deciding that the girls needed to start at a French school as soon as possible they wanted a house to rent here, while hoping that the agent will eventually do something to earn his money.

A contact put us in touch with someone out here, who for family reasons has to go back to the UK. She had also had no real interest from people wanting to buy her house, so thought that she might rent it out. Her house would be ideal for my daughter so we arranged for her to travel over tonight to look the house over. A phone call from lady going back to the UK tells us that the house she was going to rent over there has fallen through so she might not be moving just yet.

Meanwhile we have heard of two more houses here that were going to be sold, but now might be available to rent. More phone calls to get appointments to view, so we now have the whole of Saturday taken care of going round villages, schools and houses. Almost certainly this means no football for me.

So don't think that life will stay quiet when they move out, it won't.

 

I know OFH - I've had to pop around to #1 sons tonight and deliver some chicken breasts and been on the phone half the day trying to sort out a replacement phone for little Miss W_Y..

 

I noticed this site has more attacks than our team!

 

Like you ak I find it strange that I can get on here with IE but not Firefox or Google. Does this mean that the security on IE is lacking?

 

It is better I think.

 

If i close the site and then try to re-open it the message still shows. I wonder if the problem is still there and probably will remain until the source is removed or blocked.

 

Firefox still saying the site is under attack.

Well i like to think i am that most of the time. I even had someone roll their eyes after i complimented her 4 times in 2/3 mins
