This does seem odd I must admit and only time will tell. It is unlikely that we will get someone who has already scored a few in the Prem or Championship this season, so where do you look? Younger players from the Prem seems to be the route we have taken in the past, but it does us no good when players such as Weimann get recalled at short notice. I assume that we make phone calls to the clubs to ask if they have players that they want to send out on loan for whatever reason, rather than asking if we can have a particular player, but I don't know. I just hope that we don't have to spend a month getting him fit, only for him to get injured in the first game or two.

Too right. Mrs W_Y had a tear in her eye this morning - she came out of our bedroom and looked across to see Little Miss W_Y's room and No.1 son's room both empty...only No.2 son at home at the moment and he is never in! House is sooooooo quiet...

Had some news this morning - my new boss (of 4 months) has quit already and is leaving on Wednesday. Well I know I can be a little difficult at times, but I did not think I was that bad!!! - seems he could not handle the "culture"...the big girl!

Do any of the mods know/are able to find out if there is a time limit between registering and making a first post as my son (username jerzeypie) has been registered for a few weeks but I don't think has posted anything yet.

Nice surprise today - I got my first mock exam back for my tax course and I got 66%, including full marks on one of the long questions. Considering I rushed it the night before it was due in, I dread to think what I could do if I studied properly!

Im not aware that there is Barry. However, i cant be certain. The easiest thing i can think of would be to get him to attempt to post.

Thanks for that Dan. He's with his Mum most of the week and I don't think she's too keen on him using his laptop when he has other stuff to do. As I haven't got him with me at the weekend, I'll have to get him to post something either tomorrow night or Wednesday when he is with me.

Well, that was one hell of a night all of a sudden! Master Hornette went to a concert with 3 girl friends, in Hammersmith. Typically they missed the last train home. Thankfully my brother is a mini cab driver and managed to pick them up and bring them home. They arrived an hour and a half ago. Since then, there's bowls of custard and toast and marmite all over the kitchen, and Mr H will be having kittens coz it's so noisy! My brother ate 6 slices of toast and marmite (coz "he hasn't had marmite for years") and stood and chatted for hours (it's a wonder he makes any money lol).

I'm exhausted! 2am suddenly felt like 4pm! lol...i love it!

So, i think i'll take my weary bum to bed since i was up at 6.30am for a test..i'm a little sleepy! lol...night night all! Sweet dreams :) View attachment 8025

Morning all - mild morning in West West London, but very dark still!

With Sven getting the elbow, all the usual suspects are being touted for his replacement. Funniest was Claridge, that would be great to get him off of the BBC!
