I didn't have it on yesterday as the sun was too warm. I managed to get within 5 metres of you before being swallowed up by the departing crowd.

Just a few thoughts on the game yesterday. The pitch looks good, but the ball was very bouncy and quite a few of our players seemed to have difficulty getting it under control. Poor basic technique I thought.

The guy sitting next to me hadn't missed a game all season and thought that something is almost right but there needs to be a better plan of the style of play. My feeling was that there are too many chipped passes especially from Lloyd who seems to want to do it all the time. The free kicks were always being aimed towards Yeates, which it didn't take Palace that long to work out. More variation I think but I cannot see who has the imagination. Certainly there were short spells when we kept the ball on the deck and looked better for it, but sometimes we attempted to do things just too quickly and one miss placed pass and they were away.

Two seats away sat Mr. Gloom who started 15 minutes before the game. If only he had used some of his breathe for encouragement. Were Palace that much better than us? I didn't think so and no one around me thought we would see a goal at all. Certainly the first was a great strike which almost came out of the blue, yet there were still a few glimpses that we might get back into it.

Not a good game, but I have suffered worse.

:) thanks for that M Frenchie. That has been the brightest comment of the weekend...i'll take that! I agree, we lack ideas..but there are glimpses of something..which was all there at the beginning of the season, that's what i don't get.

Because I know what you look like. I was trying to get and say hello, but had to keep moving.

I did have a run in with Mr Jobsworth steward who wanted me to move my feet 12 inches. My comment to him suggesting that he looked for something to moan about did not go down well.

You may see a stranger, you may see a stranger across a crowded room,
And somehow you know,You know even then
That somewhere you'll see her again and again.

    Cheers OFH..
Some Enchanted Evening - was one of my dear old dad's favourite songs by Perry Como. Every time I hear it, it reminds me of him...Mrs W_Y and I are going to see South Pacific at MK next Saturday, looking forward to a good singalong..

Could well be her type of song, though wouldn't discount Tina Turner covers!

Or maybe Cher? View attachment 7899
