Well done Oxford - yes it was Hogans Heroes - back in the late sixties - was racking my brains trying to think of that one - but kept coming up with Rowan and Martins Laugh In

Speed cameras are being installed in the overhead gantries above the M1 in the 4 lane sections north of the M25 up to bandit country. I got a flash off one of them a couple of weeks ago doing about 85, but nothing in the post as yet
I think they :police: are testing them as they seem a bit sporadic - a bloke went past me under one of them doing well over 90 last night and it did not go off.

Picked up little Miss W_Y from Uni yesterday, it took me 4 hours to get from West West London down there and only 2 hours to get back to bandit country....<steam><steam>

Was there a game of cricket today?:emoticon-0116-evilg

I have been somewhat delayed today by visitors who have a house in the hamlet, but spend most of their time earning a crumb in the UK.

As most Brits. seem to want to buy a small house cheaply, then extend it, they were in need of concrete blocks. A trip to Chateauroux was needed to buy them with trailer in tow. Asking how much a pallet would weigh, they were given a figure of 260kgs. The trailer has a weight limit of 1/2 ton, so knowing that it would be slightly overloaded they still thought it would save them a further trip to buy two pallets.

When the blocks were loaded on, they looked at the tyres and realised that they looked very flat indeed. Carefully driving to a garage with an air pump they realised that their internet bought trailer's instructions had not told them what air pressure was required. Peering at the tyres they realised that they still had no idea as all of the lettering on them was in Chinese. <yikes>

They put 3 bar in and it didn't make any noticeable difference, so they set off on the 80km journey back. There are some serious hills in these parts and the trailer was pushing them down them and slowing them to a crawl going up the other side. It took 2.5 hours to get back, and as usual the gendarmerie were nowhere to be seen.

Today they weighed a single block, multiplied them up and found that the total came to 1.2 tons. :(

Time I went back to bed. Miss NZ woke, teething I think, so I could see that England are winning and losing. I would prefer it if it were the other way round.

It's amazing what you'll watch when there's no football on <laugh>

Actually, have just got back from the local football - Highland League game. I made a last minute decision to go, and it was a big mistake as I very nearly froze to death - started to snow part way into the match. How on earth the players survived I've no idea, but at least we won :1980_boogie_down:

Kick off in 30.min.

I hope you are all going to Deepdale on monday to see Ísland play England. Ísland lost to Úkraina 3-2 at Valeriy Lobanovskyy Stadium in Kyiv. The goals were Aron Jóhannsson and Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson in the second period.

Where is Deepdale?
