Evening all. Just made it home from Uni. It took over an hour due to someone being thrown through their windscreen in a collision therefore the car had to be moved and the person taken to hospital. It must have happened just as i left uni but the traffic was backed up for about 3 miles in 20mins.

I know we think our defence gives away silly goals due to horrendous clangers - but is anyone watching the Maribor vs Birmingham game? Birmingham just gave away a silly goal - their defence makes ours look truly international class.

My flight is due to land at 7.45am on Sat then I'll be on the train from the airport after that. Spoke to the hotel this evening about the possibility of checking-in early. They have 56 rooms empty tomorrow night, which means that I would be able to, but as it's a Friday, they can't promise me that those rooms won't be filled. Barring an extreme delay to my flight, I'll be in Soton for at least the second half of the rugby.

Talking of Cambridge. My son had to go over to Cambridge this week for a company "training course", along with 9 of his workmates. Because they were all working in the morning at various locations in East Anglia, they all drove separately to Cambridge, as did the young lady leading the "course" - so 11 vehicles...guess what was the theme of the "course"? Yup, you guessed it "How to work in a more environmentally friendly manner"...absolute classic stuff

It's not from Gatwick as I'm flying direct from Jersey to Soton. Stayed at that hotel last time I went to Soton. Thanks for the reminder of the route from the station but I'll walk it as any walking, however short is all a build-up to next years Jersey Itex Walk.

OFH, definitely - would be even more so if they could've done it in text speak.

BCFC - although it's not Spurs' rivals, you do support a team in red and white, so I'd say no.

N - also looking forward to it.

Their sponsors say it all about their relative standings within the pro game. Spurs have got a multi-national in Investec and Shamrock are sponsored by an Irish DIY chain.
