Not if you want to protect a fragile confidence , although with a load of kids I can understand , but with the load of journeyman SD has bought in, maybe its a)they aint good enough or b) they dont care enough or c) both! any which way we are in a spot of bother!

i think that's harsh Norway..that was the worst performance for a long time. The 'journeymen', until yesterday and to a certain extent last week, have had fire in their bellies. The last couple of weeks they've been flat...and certainly we never play well against teams we're supposed to beat. I wouldn't start panicking yet.

Sorry H but look at the league table and tell me 3 worse teams than us! were lightweight in attack ,clueless in midfield Eustace had an absolute shocker!
How much longer would you let things meander as is? I really think tuesdays game is a major 6 pointer! and this early that is a big worry! I think we now need an experienced gaffer ,we have been lucky with rookie managers in recent years , i feel that luck has run out!

It's too early to tell whether his appointment is good or bad. Clubs are way to quick to make those decisions these days and it doesn't help the club to keep changing Managers. We need to give him time. He and the squad are new, finding their way. To be calling for his head this early in the season is barmy in my opinion. Every game is a '6 pointer'. Every game throughout the season counts. Tuesday is no different. Our attack isn't strong and we definitely missed Weimann yesterday, but that's the problem of relying on loanees. The midfield wasn't so bad. And Eustace wasn't by any stretch shocking imho. In fact, he saved us on many occasions from giving the ball away. His pass has never been acurate. In contrast to last season, we're stronger at the back than at the front, so if we make a mad defensive mistake, we're screwed at the moment, but i think SD can turn this round, and i'm not about to give up on him, or the new signings!

Really hope your right H ! but we have had a lot of bad days at the office ,the new guys should at least be starting to gel by now and dont seem to know each others names yet!! My father as a Ram watched Eusty with interest yesterday as they were rumoured to be signing him! He said he was glad they didnt! Dont get me wrong I love our skipper like the rest of us ! but it seemed yesterday that no one knew what they were meant to be doing! we had no plan b , infact it was hard to work out a cohesive plan a!

i'm glad they didn't sign him too! We haven't had a lot of bad days at the office, we've had two. The other games we were outstanding and weren't rewarded for it. Don't write off the team because you saw one bad performance on the telly, that isn't fair to the efforts they've made to this point.

An excellent summary of yesterday's game by Ian Grant. Mistaken-ridden but positive football I can cope with. Charmless guff, no thanks.

so was ours :( reverting to hoofball which made me bored and wanted to fall asleep <laugh>

atmosphere wasn't better, chants of discontent starting to appear,Maynard being subbed accompanied with boos sarcastic jeers (he was ****e and hasn't looked bothered in recent games) and a "we want Millen out" chant.

not good and not looking forward to Tuesday lol

i don't think so. Only once this season have i come away from a game feeling disappointed with the performance as opposed to the result, and that was yesterday. Admittedly, i didn't see the Birmingham or the Barnsley games so can't comment on those.

Just want to say I don't think the remedy is too difficult to find. When we kept the ball on the floor and got it wide we created opportunity. Yup the guys in the box had a day off but that can be fixed. And we have some options both youth and journeymen.

It was disappointing of course but one good result either Millwall or Southampton and we will have forgotten the last game. The race is a season long and SD has passion. Any serious talk of replacing SD before at least Christmas I think not only is unjust but also would get us nowhere. Just my tuppence worth.

Good points kchorn that I agree with.

Reading around different sites today I find that certain players polarise opinions. Some think that they played well, or at least showed promise, while others think they are awful and a total waste of money. I think that my points made over the years about fans seeing what they want to in certain players was highlighted really well yesterday.
