Does anyone else find bananas make you cough?! A similar feeling when consuming large quantities of pear drops?

I tell you what makes me cough is finding out that it costs 13 Euros for a bottle of Heineken just round the corner from where my wife works in Paris<yikes> that was the cheapest drink!!!!

The cheapest cocktail was 19 Euro<yikes> I know it is the expensive part of Paris but it makes you think how can people afford to get drunk, or maybe that is the point, make them stay sober by using high pricing?

H, is it the cooking or the big crowd you're hoping to be tasty? I always hope my visitors will be tasty but since Sophia Loren stopped dropping by they haven't all been quite up to scratch :emoticon-0100-smile

lol...actually i was hoping the big crowd would be tasty, but since i know the guest list, that's a very vain hope, so i'll stick to hoping the cooking is tasty! Sophia Loren..how does she do that!?

    lol..that'd be funny!

cold meat platter to start (that's a cop out on my part, but there's a lot of them lol)...chicken soup (nice and traditional), roast chicken, roast potatoes, bean and coconut, and salad..followed by chocolate mousse, pear pie and melon and pineapple salad in mint dressing.

Friday night is Pasta night - preceeded by a few Bloody Mary's, then White Wine and then Red Wine...then some fat tunes on the gramaphone.

Right, I had enough of corporate madeness today, so off to Tesco to stock up of some essential vitals and supplies...
