Sorry for taking a couple of days to come back on this, but the police are very reluctant to release much info to the media after receiving criticism of how a big investigation that ended in January into abuse at a childrens home that took place in the 70s and 80s was conducted, so I can't come up with anything other than you've shown there.

Certainly not pleasant when bad things like this happen on your doorstep!

When it is as quiet as this I sometimes read what other clubs are saying about the players that have been bought from us. For example a few days ago the Swansea lot were giving Danny Graham some fearful stick and how we had robbed them. One new thread appears slating Swansea and Danny Graham and they start to defend him. Nothing like a bit of a wind up to get things going.

Sometimes people leave the club and disappear off the radar. What has happened to Julian Winter since he left and what is John Stephenson doing now that he cannot settle in Brighton?

Sometimes you see people saying that when someone has left the club they are history and of no interest. I tend to think that sometimes they show up that being at Watford is not such a bad thing. Young Harry Forrester has so far made one sub appearance coming on the 89th minute.

The amount of money that 8-2 will earn in Russia over the next three years could probably buy Arsenal an entire back four.

Morning All, Bright and sunny day here and feeling cheerful as there is no French lesson today. 29th of the month brings the largest street market in central France to the village 3 miles away. Being August there will still be quite a lot of over priced goods to attract the tourists. There are still plenty of GBs and NLs about even if most of the nationals who spend their summers in the country have returned to the cities.

They do say that you can buy anything at this market from baby clothes to a gravestone. The latter is not supplied until called for, you just pay a deposit and agree a fixed price, then take delivery very much later you hope.

We don't go there unless there is something needed, but it is a great experience to watch the real locals struggling to get a clucking cardboard box to their cars, or fighting to get a kid goat settled on the back seat. There should be plenty of fresh produce for sale, but most people have been busy for several weeks bottling or freezing their own fruit and vegtables.

By 10.00 many will be ready for dinner, and the bars will start serving the plat du jour. The smell of food, chatter and accordion music is once again here.

Good news Norway, will keep fingers crossed for you. <ok>

The market was absolutly heaving this morning. We used to have a cocker spaniel in England and I was very tempted when I spotted some for sale despite agreeing that they were too much hassle taking them across the channel.

Still we bought what we went for and now I have given myself more work. :(

    Morning all

A bit of sun about here and a morning's gardening done. Mrs H has been busy in the kitchen...pasta bake for lunch and a monkfish curry being prepared for this evening. Interesting to hear Arsenal fans moaning...multi-million pound budget, new stadium, international players, Champions League football...and one defeat means it's the end of the world!

AK, one of the consolations of being a little older is that every day is a holiday. Don't get me wrong...I like work - I can sit and watch people doing it all day long :emoticon-0100-smile
