Morning All from the Black Sea.

However I have seen both the English and German coverage of the black embers of London .......and then I heard the tale of a friend's bus journey in Enfield.

My view is consistent - parental responsibility - if the parents keep tabs on their children and object when they arrive home with the latest widescreen TV in a nice box, then this would not happen.

As for the footy, I only hope Bristol doesn't erupt like 1981.

    Morning E69

FYI they had trouble in Bristol -St Pauls & Stokes Croft last night I remember 1981 was very bad. Best thing to end these riots would be a couple of nights solid rain

Morning all , great shame these idiots are affecting a lot of peoples lives one way or another ,yes the police and authorities probably should have dealt with the shot kids parents better ! but is that really an excuse to take to the streets ,get rent a mob involved and all hooligans with one agenda or another!
For once my sympathies lie with the police having to deal with this and being hamstrung by PC laws ,Can imagine the death toll would be a lot higher if this had been in the states! You can only blame high unemployment ,lack of facilities etc for so long! As elixir states when will parents and local authorities work together and take a collective reponsibility?

There are a lot of threads about the riots that have been merged into one in General chat of varying standards! Emotions for some are running understandably high , but try and not fall into racist trap as there are all being involved in these last 3 nights!
What I am saying is please dont load up the front page with riots articles , keep them here in our pub or go to GC!
    Thanks very much guys!

Exactly what I was thinking Charlie.

I have to agree with Elixir too. It is all down to parenting. "Monkey see, monkey do".

Fortunately it hasn't shown signs of spreading to Watford. Harrow-on-the-Hill station was closed last night on police request, but that seems to be just a precautionary measure.

I hope it doesn't spread. I live in a densely populated area close to an "undesirable" estate!!

Let's hope something is sorted soon, what with Notting Hill coming up at the end of the month. Just need that to kick off as well and we are back to the 70's. Scared the s**t out of me facing that lot without any shields protective gear just a trucheon and Cork Helmet. My how times have changed uniform wise trouble is the rioters are better equiped too.
