    Afternoon all,

A bit too hot at the moment to do the outside jobs although there is a bit of a breeze and it is not humid at all.

French lesson disposed of for another week, but it was hard work today.

I came home, only to discover that our hamlet has had the post box removed. No questions about how would it affect us if it was taken away it just disappeared leaving a hole on the wall. Thinking that as we have a lot of visitors here at present someone might have taken it as a trophy, I enquired of the village sage who knew that La Poste were going to take it away, but still said that you can hand your mail to the post lady, if you are around when she comes. I suppose we will have an excuse now for late payment of bills. ;)

How on earth do they get away with that OFH? So how far now do you have to go to post mail?

Nearest post box now is a mile away, opposite the nearest bar. ;)

Had a look at my laptop yesterday after the over heating tip on here and it was choked with fluff and dust. Gave it a bit of a springclean and so far it has been behaving very well and not switched off or crashed once touch wood.

I suppose that is not too far and also the added bonus of liquid refreshment after posting:)

I will be getting the hoover out and giving mine a spring clean later, but the strange thing is that yesterday it crashed 5 times<yikes> today not even once!

OFH - can you do what the Americans do... have a postbox on your premises and can put outgoing mail in there as well?

England all out for 544 (lead of 477)

    India currently 39-4

Here in Blag, the temperature peaked at 29C but the promised electrical storm is just coming over the mountain.

Lunch was "mish mash" and cucumber soup. Thankfully there was some pork and lamb on the side. The mish mash was tuna salad with a ton of green pepper and the cucumber soup was cold with plenty of mayo. You should have seen my son's face when I said "you need to be brave and finish it", by the way I had to be very very brave.

My body is reacting in strange ways to this assault! LOL

Not quite Kev as it would mean her getting out of her van and checking to see if there was anything in every box. Our boxes are on the outside, no letter boxes in front doors, and people do use sticky tape sometimes to hold something to it that they want collecting. You can keep a watch out for the van and hand your post to her as she will stop for it.

OFH do you have bread van round that you could trust to take post? Or are you lucky enough to have a boulangerie close by?

Our nearest post box is about 2 miles away down a country lane - I don't trust it - so we go about 5 miles to the garage and post it there - the post man will take post if you give it him when he delivers - our neighbours have an American style box with a little red lever to show they have post to take

OFH, I agree with you about vent fans on pc's and laptops. Our cats create dust and this bungs them up.

RL Supplies maintain our computers (brilliantly it must be said) and they now clean ours up FOC when they're in for TLC.

How about you have a little flag you can put up that indicates if there is any post in it!! Something nice and bright... yellow maybe!

Is the cricket the same game as last month or have England and India started another time?
