Morning everyone, another cloudless blue sky up there and it could be rather warm by this afternoon.

This weekend sees the big changeover, when the July holiday makers return to their towns and cities and the August ones depart for the coast or country. Yesterday it is reported that traffic was moving well and there were only 635 kms of hold ups on the autoroutes. These usually occur at the toll booths when the traffic can really stack up. French lorries are banned from the roads, but there are still plenty of Spanish and Portuguese ones on the move.

The number of people in our hamlet has doubled with summer visitors bringing children with them who seem to be everywhere. It can be quite funny when they are not sure which nationality you are and try out the words learnt at school on you.

Back to the grind now. Carpentry almost finished, but a lot of clearing up to do. Grass will need the strimmer taking to it before I attempt the mower. Then I will sit and continue my French homework as we have a lesson tomorrow.

It is lovely to be retired. Have a good birthday cake H.

 

Morning Frenchie I go for the hold the mower up and slowly bring it down technique although it is very tiring because I havent got a strimmer !!

 

Ah but when you find the right person - our anniversary was last week our 33rd !!

Warming up here - it was very hot yesterday, almost too hot. The BBC forecast had us down for max 22C but I'm guessing it was at least 5 degrees more although there was no sea breeze which probably made it feel worse. Hate to think what it'll be like on Tuesday when the forecast is 26C! Just had a look at the weather forecast for the World Scout Jamboree and max is 24 for today, tomorrow and Tuesday and 23 on Wednesday - hope either my son or his Mum packed the sun cream.

 

Even we are expecting 17C today!!

 

It is 17 here now but was 15 overnight

 

Morning all, bright here in the West but still a little bit over cast hopefully the sun will burn through. Went down to the local carboot sale and picked up half a dozen books for £3 that was including 3 hardbacks. Replaced a a rear brake light and done a little bit of weeding in the front lawn, nothing by comparison by what you face Norway but heyho! Enjoy your day folks

 

So 600 pages and almost 12,000 posts who will be the one to get there?

 

Well we usually let H get the milestones Wonder is she has finished baking
