Caravans, what is it about the "tail wagging the dog"?

We were making good progress down the A303, when the traffic stopped just after the A34 junction. As we crawl along I see a caravan being winched onto a trailer! When we come past there is a car in the field, and the caravan's in a mess at the front. I'm really not sure how the car got that far from the road, but it was quite a job to get the caravan away from the scene.

And the summer holidays have only just begun!

I'm ok with the new away strip. I have a wardrobe half full with replica strips, and there are worse ones than that.

Who are L****? Do they count as a "football club"?

This probably means that anyone from Norway who has visited the UK this year will be getting a knock on the door from Scotland Yard.

mmm thanks for the link H.

There is a quote "He said he regarded himself as a successor to the medieval Knights Templar". The last I heard of Simon Templar AKA The Saint, he was on an EP by Tony Roberts music, which had the B side "2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps please". That is until Associated TV, later known as Central TV got all heavy.

I love the song Simon Templar and preferred it to 2 pints. It's lyrics like "Simon Templar is so hunky, all his birds are very funky" and the immortal "I think Simon's a bit of a bore, Ian Ogilvie and Roger Moore" that really do it for me.

I'm very sorry, but I don't stop to think about what "might happen". My parents don't like to be in London after dark as they aren't as mobile as they used to be, but I have to get on with it. I could go on to say some of the businesses I deal with have some "questionable business techniques", but I wont bore you.

So in general I like to keep my wits about me and whilst I give money to charity, I don't give money to beggars for example.

Right I think that is it for me today. Hot chocolate night instead of the Horlicks as I have to get the wheels on the move in the morning:(

Finally got this crazy English computer to accept an update without crashing. I think it is getting old and may have to be replaced before too long. I really ought to put some money aside every year to get a much faster model.

No Mme, I am not talking about you. <laugh>

    Morning All,

Grey and damp start to the week. Checked out my water butts down the far field and find that they are both full. 600 litres in hand now in case we get another period of drought. I wonder if I should get another one and link that into the system? Think I will have a scout round and see if there are any going on the cheap.

Morning OFH, she was there but bless her she is the tallest person ans she could not find a vantage point she did say she saw some of the cyclists heads going past but nothing else. Next year I am going to be there and I will make sure she will have a vantage point. It was good being there at the end of last week to see the preparations, they take it quite seriously don't they:)
