    Morning all.

Police helicopters at dawn the other day. Today the dustmen have come extra early, to ensure that the road resurfacing can start on time. You couldn't make it up <cry>

Still, it's not all bad. It gave me a chance to catch up on yesterday's gossip, and I can now say with certainty who the two most desperate clubs in the Football League are.

    Plymouth and Portsmouth? Barnet perhaps?

    Nope.

Tell a lie, they haven't actually come yet, but we always have trouble with foxes and it was my turn to take the bins out this morning. Same difference.

    Too early for a <coffee>?

Morning All, a mocha for me please Ak.

I hear Jon Marks will be at AFC tomorrow with full coverage of the game on the Hornet Player. I hope that helps those not going. I will of course do my best for those who haven't paid the subscription!

Weather report is a fine morning, lots of sunshine with only small bits of cloud.

Good morning H, how can you be having more broadband problems? You have my sympathy big time.

OK have you had your line checked from inside your house by a decent techie? I had huge problems with my broadband until BT told me my phone line "from MAST to POINT" was knackered! Quite simply my phone line is decades old and has de-graded. The best solution to the problem was to go NTL cable. So my advice to you is to keep complaining and ask for a test to be done from within your house.

I hate it when a supplier says "we've had no other problems in your street"!

Who are you with H? I know that Sky take a while for your internet speeds to pick up...

Have you done a speed test?

thanks Toby! I've just signed up with BT, it started yesterday and was great til last night when it started slowing down on the laptop through the wireless connection. This morning it was painful on the pc, but i've just rebooted the router and it seems fine again. Hmm.

I clicked on your link and got this : Download speed 10168 Upload 893...no idea if that's good or not but i know this area is not great..

The speeds you're getting are fine, nothing wrong there. It must be something to do with your router settings or maybe your firewall. Can't really help from here :)

You add the 2 numbers together. I presume the nubers are Kb, if so your speed was 11 Mega bits per second. I hope that helps!

Good luck - broadband performance can be such a pain.
