g-day.gif Brilliant day up here - blue skies, warm - just like home!

Unfortunately, I can't enjoy it - am laid up with a sore back. After two weeks of wallpaper stripping, plastering, sanding, painting, tiling, re-wiring, roof fixing, sawing and hammering, all without a problem - yesterday I foolishly bent over with a dustpan and brush & couldn't get up again!

    Age is a curse :(

    Afternoon all
Rather a heavy head today, went to a 50th birthday party out in bandit country and had the full complement of W_Y's in attendance, so the bar bill was rather heavy. One thing that little Miss W_Y seems to have learnt at uni is an enormous capacity for Vodka....

4 working days and we are off on our jolidays - yippee...

So, i was about to go to work, and click the button on my key to open my car door, and disaster, the key won't work. So, i go into the house to get the spare key but that won't work, and that's when i hear the strange purring noise from under the bonnet. Oh dear...AA on the way, and pupils waiting...sometimes i hate cars!

Morning all. Still dark here and it is after 6am. Miss NZ has fsllen asleep in my arms so I'm typing left handed.

Nothing much to report from this part of the world. We only had a couple of rumbles over the weekend but the experts have found another couple of fault lines and they don't know why they haven't moved yet. One seems to go right under where I work! Mrs NZ not happy about that.

Snow has finally arrived on the mountains so all the local ski areas can open, once they can clear the approach roads.

I hope your collective evenings are balmy with something nice to drink while you watch the setting sun - and in the case of AK a lot to drink as the sun won't set till August
