Good evening friends ..... Yes Gillingham have signed Adam Birchall, who seems to have been around for ages. I remember him being at Wycombe and Barnet and an Arsenal reject, yet he's just 26. I don't think he stays anywhere for long so giving him a 3 year contract seems a little generous????

My mate the Tottenham fan is having kittens over Modric, so I've told him "if you love someone, you have to let them go" or do you think that was a bit too lovey, dovey!!!! Actually he hasn't texted me back for about half an hour, so I wonder what he's up to????

Life is full of little surprises.

Mme came home tonight suggesting that I might like to pop along to an artisan marche that was being held in a neighbouring village tonight. She had found out that there would be a bar selling traditional English beer. What a good idea I thought grabbing some shoes.

There under the roof of the cattle market, suitably cleaned up for the occasion, are all sort of stalls giving you tasters of produce they hope to sell. Three long rows of tables and benches have been set up so that you can sit and eat or drink what you have just bought. The general noise level was high, normal when several hundred French and English get together and food is involved.

The town band put in an appearance and had everyone clapping and waving their arms in the air. Good fun and the beer was superb from a local micro brewery. All of this in the middle of nowhere.

Yes he did. He's a good lad and I take him to quite a few Watford games.

Not bad Norway. The storm woke me up too early and by 10.00am my stomach told me it was dinner time. Got some work done and watched a bit of the Tour. You would not have liked it as there were no crashes. ;)

Evening all. Interesting the thing about the beers in France. Our local brewery is doing its festival thing this weekend - Hook Norton Brewery. Sra hac been offered a parking space on a colleague's neighbour's drive with the threat of a bbq afterwards. Hope it stays dry.
