I am with you too Brag on the reporting - we all agree it is a terrible thing and we do want reporting to see the "news" but some meaningless interviews if anything detract from it. When you see what they spend on these things you realise why ther is no money for 606.

The other thing that gripes me as it seems to be "rant" day - is that until the earthquake we were inundated with news fro Libya - it was SOOOO important; now though it gets a few seconds here and there - now come on - it is still as it was last week in Libya if not worse but suddenly it is not deemed to be newsworthy enough compared to Japan

Zen - what are you saying ? Mitch has had a baby ?? I did not even know he had had a sex change

As a technophobe, how easy is it to set up a twitter account?

I really do not want one, but wondered if it is as simple as creating multiple 606 accounts.

Why do I enquire? http://twitter.com/laurencebassini#

No body loves him, but then I do not think it is him.

Frenchie, it's very easy - won't take you more than a minute. And you don't even need to use your mobile phone  The only problem with twitter is that anyone can see who you are following and they can get a very weird impression of you :embarrassed:

Let us know how you get on!

If anyone looked at my following list..the impression they'd get is that i'm a Watford fan who likes comedy. i should probably follow more interesting and off the wall people!

I "borrowed" this from TigerPaul1991 but it made me smile:<cool>

A man's walking down the street when he's attacked by a huge dog. From out of nowhere a bloke in a football shirt rushes upto the man, pulls the dog off the man and kills it by smacking it across the head with a piece of wood. The man is in huge shock but when he come round a bit he says 'that was a very brave thing you did for me there, it just so happens i'm a reporter for a local newspaper and i will make sure this story is on the front page. It'll say, heroic Man United fan saves reporter from deadly animal'.
'I'm not a Man United fan' says the man.
'Ok, Brave Liverpool fan saves reporter from near death experience' says the reporter.
'I'm not a Liverpool fan' says the man.
'Ok, quick thinking Newcastle fan saves reporter from vicious attack' says the reporter.
'I'm not a Newcastle fan' says the man.
'Well, who do you support?' askes the reporter.
'Leeds United' replies the man.
The next day the headline in the local paper reads 'Leeds hooligan kills beloved family pet'

Brag agree with you everything about the bbc is going downhill!!!
Frenchie not on twitter .but was thinking about it because of the wfc players on it, howeverfor me at the mom,I think fb is enoughfor me:) Ifyou go for it let me know how you get on!!

Leon I was inferring that becoming a parent calms the person, generally. I wasn't suggesting Mitch had gone under the knife.

Evening all,

This painting lark just goes on and on.:emoticon-0107-sweat

Nice to see some of the remarks about the Beeb above. I had begun to think that I was becoming a grumpy on my own, but now I see that it is a common trait. <laugh>

Thank you for the twitter help, but me go on there? I don't think so thank you. :emoticon-0120-doh:

My interest was purely stirred wondering if Mr. B was actually on it, or if someone was having a laugh.

Hardly had time ak to stand around watching the feathered friends, and nobody came down to bring me a <ale>.

A while back some manager type asked us oiks on the shop floor what major issues we had ,one was that you usually had 3 or 4 people wanting to access a computer to print off a job write up or order spares!! Lo and behold today we all got give a little laptop (lenovo 12inch thingy with a rubberised protectice coating and all the work programmes on it!which is great, but if you repartition things and put works stuff to one side ,you get avery capable mobile laptop , this thing is half the size of my dell studio, I,m quite impressed!!! Manager type at work wasnt when he saw every one taking them home<laugh>

What a good evening, the Bordeaux is looking sad, my head is moving but my eyes are not.

I have to go to the UK in April. Will the wine fail before then?

Borough on Saturday. Every game looks hard. It did tonight, but the further it went on the better we sounded.

No more ak, I think I have had enough.<double>

Strange how during the first half it was all Ipswich pressure, but in the second half the crowd went very quiet and you knew we were doing better.

I bet we have a very happy hornette on here tomorrow.

Oh what a wonderful win - I think Hornette was responsible for that so it is <bubbly> all round
