What a bummer - just had a call from an old mate who is a big Man City supporter. He is flying back from holiday in Turkey tonight to go to the final with his 2 kids - trouble is, he also has 2 corporate tickets going spare. So I just had to accept to take them off his hands - so that is me and little Miss W_Y sorted tomorrow, she is getting the train back tonight. Nothing like a bit of corporate whoring...

NZ$300. Ouch! My sympathies Ak.

I took my car in to be fixed yesterday. It's a Nissan Lafesta which aren't sold new in NZ, they are imported second hand. The problem is that the left rear passenger door, which the driver should be able to open electronically by pressing a button, can only be opened manually. The repair guy looked at it a said. "F**k." I'm only getting it done because the car is still on warranty. It will be interesting to see how much the job will cost.

NZ are the motor insurance laws the same?, ie advisory ,not compulsory, so the insurance companies cant rip you off, because they havent got you over a barrel! like everywhere else!

 

Considering my system was £1200!!!

All second hand cars sold by dealers inNZ have a 3 month warranty with total mechanical cover. After that I have bought a two year mechanical insurance for which there is an excess.

 

Ok NZ have googled it and its still the same, a more sensible way to do it imo!

RTH, no need to teach antibedfordshireism its an instinctive response, I might suggest a course in turn the other cheek, ignore pondscum, or probably the most useful "how to spot the non Al Qaeda in Loosetown"
