Apprentice is one of those shows I don't like but find myself watching if I am not careful. Last night though watched BBC4 on Icelandic Sagas which clashed fortunately

    Afternoon all

A bit grey here...and a trip to Sainsbury's on the horizon. Not a pleasure, but it has to be done!

Afternoon all, well since I have wasted the last 2 days of standown between shifts I got off my lazy a**e and played a round of golf, second round of the year and I hit an 81, not bad if I do say so myself!

    Afternoon all,

After hearing reports of, "a small amount of grey cloud, with sunny spells", it absolutely threw it down here in Watford about an hour ago.

Congratulations on the round of golf hornetal! Golf is a sport I drastically need to take up as a hobby. I have issues with patience when it comes to sports like golf. I just want to be good, and find it difficult to motivate myself through the initial take-up where you are generally atrocious. If I am not good at something, I generally give up. Which is ridiculous.

Is it just me, or has there been no official announcement of the takeover? A few months ago, we were hearing "Takeover of Watford FC Imminent" etc. Now, we see embedded in articles, "Watford FC owner Laurence Bassini says...". Were they hoping for a quiet, problem-free takeover?

    Wa 5c earlier.

w-y you can get some of RAx books on abebooks quite inexpensively. There are a few bookshops in Rekjavík that may do mail order.

If you watch Næturvaktin you perhaps will find this a good page http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1141747/ and aslo http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=is&sort=boxoffice_gross_us,desc&start=1

Næturvaktin is Nightshift. The x-factor program is funny with the incest bit from when Georg meets Ólafurs cousin, Samúels girlfriend is pretty but needs longer time to tell him off even if he likes the cigarette girl.

Afternoon all...a little cloud about, but no sign of the wet stuff. :(

Why is that whenever you have a lot to do something just makes life harder? Last night up came a message on the TV to say that I needed to update the software on my satellite box. So I told it to get on with it and when it had finished I found that it had left all the French channels , but totally wiped all of my UK ones. Several hours of trying to get it back and all I managed to get were extremely dodgy German channels.

This morning a call to Mr. Bigdish confirmed that I was not the only one. By mid-day he had been swamped by people wondering what to do. I discovered from him that I actually had to re-program the switch on my dish. I finally got there in time to see the lunchtime weather forecast for the UK talking about ground frost.
