    Morning All,

Had a look on here earlier, then couldn't get back on. Went to the Beeb, waited for them to wake up, posted a quick comment, then that went down for maintenance work. <yikes>

Anyway weather as normal, no rain forecast for today. Need to go and use some of my precious resources on the plants before they wither and die. :(

I had an interesting chat with my son who lives and works in Leeds last night. The city council, his employers, have decided to only have enough desks for 70% of the staff in an effort to get more to work from home. He agrees that he could actually do his job from home 80% of the time, but there is a big problem. He lives in a small ex-miners cottage and would have to get a large desk and adjustable seat in to meet the H & S regulations. If he didn't have them and got a bad back from not having the correct furniture, then any time off would be his fault, so no pay.

    Thanks ak.

BBC is still down for maintainance. I do "work" from home. Almost anyway, it's only a mile and a half as my boots take me. A lot less if I could walk across the fields and get through two bloody great fences.

The maintainance is over on the Beeb. The watering is done down the far field before the sun comes over the ash trees and now a quick coffee before the next job.

    Morning all

Lovely day here. One lot of shelves assembled...a second to do this afternoon. 48 nuts and bolts to tighten on each unit...a design fault I think.

Just got a letter to say the electricity will be cut off for 8 daytime hours one day next week. Takes another day to reset everything once it's back on. Life was simpler when you only had to worry about the fire going out!

If you go to the members list there is a Newcastle fan "Toon in Manchester" his bar is full and showing 100 - it appears that he then "goes back to the beginning as he is shown as being a newbie

I will not be making match threads for friendly matches.

Why do Watford always play against the same group of teams for friendlies? Wealdstone and Boreham Wood. There is time to arrange a game for Saturday 16 July. If Leicester City can have Real Madrid could we ask Barcelona.

Why is the FA Cup final before the end of the Premier League? Never used to be or is there a money thing happening.

AK - I think it is because the Champions League final is at Wembley. So, yeah it is about money...

Next season the FA will hold a special cup for teams with massive debt or a stadium that holds over 60,000 clients. These teams don't have fans anymore.
