It also sounds a bit like maybe not. :( They will have to make up their mind fairly soon if they want to re-seed it or even re-turf it. Get a dry summer and the watering bill could be pretty steep.

The article also mentions the training camp in France. I gather that this was mentioned at the do last weekend. Sloppy reporting there Norway. <laugh> I hope they give me the dates soon so that my field will be ready. ;)

    Interesting article Frenchie.

I think MM will be linked with all the strugglers in the Premiership and most clubs in the Championship as and when jobs come up. As to Colin and Paul Lambert why would they want to leave the clubs they have just got to the Premiership with (assuming QPR are allowed in). Chris Houghton seems a logical choice as he is currently without a club.

I hope our new owners slap a big compensatory payment on any move to take MM.

If I were Malky I would prefer to wait another year. We know - he knows - he is not the finished article. If he goes to a big club he will be under pressure from day 1 to deliver. Givne the short amount of time nowadays given to new managers he could end u being sacked and then where would he stand.

I believe it is in his as well as our best interest form him to stay for now.

    Afternoon all <ale>

I think Malky is in a very good positon and can pretty much choose his next position. While at Watford, he is performing 'against the odds' so will almost always be seen favourably (almost a no-lose situation).

When it comes to the next job, he can turn down a Burnley knowing a West Ham (or someone similar) is just around the corner. Another season like this and it won't be a West Ham looking at him, but maybe a Villa, Everton or even a Celtic if they don't win anything this season or next.

Obviously we are all biased as to saying he should stay, but certainly think it would be good for his 'education' to have at least another season here... Now it's down to the board/owners to prove they want him to stay!

His next move is important to his career - make a mistake and go too early and fail and his "promise" is tarnished.

There are managers who stay at clubs for many seasons if they are happy.

I believe that a great deal will depend on the backing or lack of it from Mr B

The Beeb are reporting that the decision on QPR will be delayed until Monday now. That could mean that the lawyers are going to be hard at it over the weekend.
