Frenchie, I'll pass your approval on. My sons enjoy spending all their school summer holidays there, as they get to play with the guests children while their grandparents entertain the adults and there's 20+ acres to run around in.

Theo you can rent bikes there, the place is designed for cyclists and it's really nice to cycle without risking getting run over by French drivers that have overdone the wine for lunch.

Utd now seem to play invincibly in Europe, and even if they do tend to win everything, I'd much rather it was them that won the final than Barca. The football in their semi-final was nice at times, but the play-acting and overall anti-sportsmanship really got to me. Tonight's game was a lot better!

Wonder what Don made of his former team-mates at Caley beating Celtic this evening?

jsybaz, I've driven past signs for Jonzac but I've never actually been there. Cognac is probably the nearest place I've been to, and it's a lovely town, so I'm guessing it's pretty nice there too!

    evening all

Just trying to keep my activity up to 0%

I think the main reason I'm on here less is that it's loads slower, with all the pictures and colours and so on

May the Fourth be with you all

Morning all :)...a grey day, which after a short, and interrupted sleep, isn't very welcome! lol. Bring me sunshine...(where's Morcombe and Wise when you need 'em? ;) ).

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak, most needed this morning. i have already dropped a jar of marmalade which smashed all over the floor, sticky side down of course, and while clearing it up, i banged my head on the cupboard door which i left open when i went to get the mop! lol...'Carry on Eating Breakfast' should be the next Carry On film!

Have a great day one and all...i have a cancellation later so you might be seeing something of me in daylight hours today ;) View attachment 2584

Morning All, Bright and sunny as usual and lots to do before it gets too warm.

Spotted this bit that looks like speculation..would anyone in their right mind want to work for these owners?

This paragraph is taken from a WO article about pre-season games.

Usually the last warm-up match is played at Vicarage Road but the Watford Observer understands the Hornets will have no home pre-season fixtures in case the club are able to finance the relaying of their out-of-date pitch, although that may not happen.
