I was trying to avoid posting for ages to get things done, but an argument on General Chat made me angry, so decided to have a word. After that felt it was rude not to say hello to fellow horns...

Some of my posts on there were quite rude, so wouldn't take it as a character thing, just some of those people had horrible views on Elton's adoption and thought I should add my "thoughts"

 

Comes a time when you cant just sit on the fence eh! Toby

 

Also, would like to point out that my avatar isn't meant to offend/be rude, it's a cartoon by David Shrigley, an ex cartoonist for the Observer, and one of my favourites!

 

Its your Avatar , you can have want you want and I cant see how it would upset anyone!

Yes - Toby - that is why I stay on our Board where we are very polite by most threads standards I looked at the general thread and thugh it was nt for me - Spurs are my "family" team but equally I don't like the feel of their board - these big clubs have tooo many fans posting who could not care too much about what language they use or views they share. Here even when we disagree we tend to resolve it well

 

We do disagree quite a lot and that is what makes it interesting, and to do it in civil well mannered debate it is what makes this community different from most!
That said I have to agree with Leo`s above post!

 

At the beginning there were too few of us on not606 to have a good debate -we all grew accustomed to each other and either agreed or knew our differences - it is now much better with a mush broader audience.

 

Oh - and on the Map issue - if it is there as a link from the Nest we don't need it as a separate thread do we?

yes the nest was always about social chat and a wide range of subjects... which were considered off topic on other threads....the bbc mods allowed a pub general chat thread..... maybe we dont need it the same way here as we dont have to be so on-topic.. I see that the nest is open to any discussion ... but may sometimes be worth a sep thread as not everyone contributes to the nest....

I think the fact this site isn't heavily moderated makes it a clear winner. The layout isn't as smooth, but there are more things to play with, picture and video inserting is simple and it's quite easy to use overall.

Better than 606 overall

 

So, i know i've queried this before, but it still baffles me lol...when i hover my mouse over the little green rectangle above the avatar on the left, it says i'm on a "distinguished road". Actually, we all are, though poor Toby is "an unknown quantity at this point" lol. So..where does the distinguished road lead to??! Hmm?
