    Flippin' wedding <grr>

I thought I'd escape by going fishing for a while & get back to find it's still on!

What is the fascination in spending a whole day watching that?

Not to mention, why do people feel the need to camp on a pavement for two days so they can spend two minutes watching a carriage trot past?

I had a watch on both Beeb and TF. It was quite amusing to see French commentators in a Paris studio all dressed up for the ocassion. 40% of all French TV spent the morning taking the stream.

As someone who has been at countless weddings, professional, not my own, I could hear numerous vicars stating that they will not be having trees in their church.

It looks as if someone has turned up on 606 at last.

I have just put my predictions on SLB's thread, so access to BBC is possible.

Also it amazes me the negative feeling for today's wedding. Pomp is something we do well in Britain and long may it continue. Even the Brasilians covered it.

There can be no doubt Brag that the spectacle today was something that had most of the world gasping with admiration. Just how sceptical are the Brits when you see the crowds that gathered.

I think it is the fact that the supporters were there supporting and all the naysayers were free to vent there spleens on the net without opposition.

Braga Jr came in earlier and asked what a QILF was, I told her not to worry about it.

I think days like this show Britain in its best "commercial" light - we do a splendid pomp and ceremony - and the world admires us for it. Good luck to the couple - I'll tell you I would not do their "job" for anything

    Afternoon all,

Haven't been on here for almost a week!! Been working on an epic decorating task, so haven't had much spare time.

Have spent the day so far watching the Royal Wedding. It's been brilliant!! It's great how it brings so many people together.

Also picked up tickets to the game tomorrow! My brother's fiancee is having her hen-do tomorrow so my brother is coming down from Milton Keynes for the weekend. Going to the football with both brothers for the first time since Wembley 1999! I can see another 3-1!

Saw a bit of the Wedding before I went to bed. I'm not particularly interested one way or the other but the pomp and ceremony was good. The British do these sort of things well.
