Afternoon all - I see you have been upsetting that Steptoe that blesses us with his presence now and again? Poor little dear..

Rubbish performance, rubbish finishing, but a great day out...lot's of Cider and we went straight out after I got back, so feeling a little hungover this afternoon.

Norway - I hope you are some training in, it's going to be a mad couple of days....April is just going to be manic in the W_Y Dacha..

What's going on? I go away for the weekend to a non-TV non-PC environment and come back to find we've lost to a team at the bottom with no funds and no manager.

It's very rare that you end up somewhere (in this case walking through a forest somewhere near Wooburn) on a Saturday afternoon where you have no idea how the football's going. I did pass a chap with what looked like an i-phone on which I was sure he must be checking football scores, but it turned out he was lost and tuning into GPS whatever that might be.

I think GPS stands for Goat Pasture Sounds - it is a rural thing - you townies don't need to worry about it

Please accept my condolences theo. A Saturday afternoon in a scoreless time warp is not good. Next Saturday I will be trolling up the Cherbourg peninsula while the Horns are playing, and my only hope is that 5live can be received from the northern tip.:emoticon-0108-speec

Has anyone tried to log on to the internet from a mid-channel ferry? I may take a laptop if it is possible. ;)

I have been watching the small feathered friends that come into the garden outside of the French windows. Blue Tits, Great Tits, Wrens, Hedge Sparrows etc. all small birds after the crumbs that we put out for them.

Overhead, circling on the warm air currents are the large buzzards. There are numerous varieties of them with different plumage.

It struck me that this was just like the FL and the Prem. :(

While in posting mode, I have just seen this item:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/12951734.stm

This raises a few questions about just what do clubs expect of their managers these days.

"The departure means none of County's last five managers have lasted six months."

"Ince's exit leaves Charlton boss Chris Powell as the only black manager in the Premier League or Football League."

When you think about the number of black players, why don't they get managerial jobs?

No - Norway ignores me :)

Thanks for change of coffee Ak

OFH don't talk to me of buzzards - one of them took another of our chickens today - much worse problem than foxes. We also have a load of Red Kites around at the moment - but they only take carrion
