Not sure why you should be upset - where else would you expect a Scot to be tried for having allegedly committed murder in Scotland?

Im just annoyed because it was billed as an insight into the British justice system, but the Scottish courts are completely different to England and Wales.

Apparently Clarke Carlisle is currently on TV talking but his experience of depression. A brave thing to do from someone who made a living in the macho world of football. He deserves respect for it...so many suffer but are afraid to seek help.

Friends have obviously been very loyal, but he's let them down again. It gets harder to be sympathetic when he's violent to others.

Alcoholism is such a nasty thing. He is very lucky to have loyal friends. It is the only chance he has. Family are no good because they are usually too close and suffer greatly because of the behaviour that alcoholism generates.

evening all :)...back from a long day in Sheffield but Miss Hornette has fallen in love with the university...and the course. Now we have to pray that they'll give her an offer, and that she'll get the necessary grades!

Morning all from a bright and sunny West West London...hope the weather holds for the week-end as we are entertaining rather a lot of people on Saturday for the annual BBQ....

Morning all, another scorcher in prospect here today. :emoticon-0141-whew:

Taking a day off and going to look for some bits and pieces that are needed. The aircon in the car is working well, so shouldn't be too much of a strain and will find some lunch somewhere shady. <cool>

I wonder if the bookies will be changing the odds on England retaining the Ashes or will be waiting for Anderson and Swan to reak havoc on the crim's batsmen?
