Morning all from a dry, warm and sunny rural France. 14 departements in the north west are on orange alert for strong winds later today, but looks as if all is set fair for here. Some friends of ours are travelling today to spend Christmas with family in the UK. Last night the ferry between Dieppe and Newhaven was cancelled because of the expected bad weather. They have been transferred to the Calais-Dover route which hopefully will get them across the water, but they are booked into a hotel tonight in Newhaven. The chocolate mountain in LeClerc has now been joined by the shellfish one. Together with the wine lake and take one look and put on weight desserts, they are hoping that people will have a hunger and thirst come Wednesday. No Boxing Day here, everything back to normal until New Year.
Morning all Gale force winds and driving rain here. Hoping those driving down to stay with us will not have too difficult a journey. I think this afternoon's walk may be a non-starter!

In the interests of the sanity of other forum memebrs I think it would be better if your and my comments on this subject were pixielated.

Afternoon all from a very wet and windy bandit country - if it's like this here, it must be terrible on the coast. Went to Tesco first thing and filled up numeros fridges and cupboards - just need to go to the butchers in the morning and we will be fully stocked for the duration. Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas -

Nice to see one of our old boys doing good. "Confirmed then. Tottenham have named Tim Sherwood as manager until the end of the 2014-15 season."
