Doesn't look at this moment that the Aussies have had their finest hour.

Morning all, weather back to normal, blue skies and heat. The Meteo have been giving out warnings that temperatures could rise to 38°C in the coming days. In February this year I was reading about preparations being made should we get high temperatures this summer. In 2003 I think, 15,000 elderly people died when lack of simple measures to keep them cool failed. A fan costing about €10-15 can be the difference between life and death for a frail person. As these conditions are expected here, planning makes sure that such failures will not happen again. Will the the hot weather in the UK have been prepared for? I hope so, as a few £'s spent could be a godsend to some people.

Afternoon all from a very much cooler bandit country - just waiting for the battle bus to arrive to pop over to Stevenage to see the PSF. Should be a good afternoon out if we can find somewhere to have a few beers!

All the kerfuffle about our new players is providing me with an opportunity to practice being more sanguine. There is no point in getting upset or irate about what other people are saying about us. There is nothing I can do. I won't convince them that they are wrong or change what is happening at the Vic.

I take deep breaths and smile. The real worry is that some of these people not only have the vote, but use it.

I wouldn't worry too much about that NZ - their votes won't count as they probably struggle to spell X correctly. :)
