Evening all, not been around much today due to storms that have engulfed much of western France. There has been quite a lot of structural damage and flooding in parts, and having blown up one computer in a storm I tend to switch off. Managed between rain to finish off some jobs, but unless the weather improves in the next couple of days I cannot see me getting the grass cut before I travel across the channel on Thursday. Hoping to get a good sight of the fixtures before we leave, so that I can arrange the next visit, probably October when there is a game I can get to.
I know we all tend to give linos a bit of stick if we are within shouting distance, but this is just way too far.
Three days of heavy rain have resulted in flooding here. It has also exposed earthquake damage to our house that were weren't fully aware of before. We have major leaks in our kitchen. One day we will get the money to fix it.
Really sorry NZ. What is going on? Have the insurance companies run out of money, unlikely, or are they just playing hard to get?
"Morning".... Thank you Mlle from coming in from your (post family meal) celebration with mates at 4.30 and waking us up and spilling tea and hot chocolate all over the stairs so Mme gets up and scrubs the carpet to get it off anyway.... I beat Dave to the good morning post
Sounds more like a "good night, I'll see you later" post to me! Good morning all from a muggy, overcast Weston-super-Mare! Sunshine promised for later, hmmm we shall see!
Morning all. I made the stupid mistake of getting up and arriving at the Dr's surgery for my blood test 3 hours early. Its bad enough that I have a phobia of needles, now I have to sit worrying about it for 2.5hrs. Doh!
Sæl öll. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar. Glögg for all. I think I have a job. I have the offer yesterday to start on Wednesday. The papers have not appeared yet so I may start next week.
Thanks for the caramel latte, good luck with your new job when you finally get it! Dan, steer well clear of diabetes, I have to check my blood sugars 4 times a day by pricking my finger and inject insulin into my abdomen twice a day! I still don't like needles but have been forced into a relationship with them!
Good news, Ak....well done. Grey morning here. Should be off to an evening's cricket but there might be the chance of thunderstorms. Fingers crossed.
Yeah, that is possibly my worse nightmare. An old school friend has diabetes and had to do the same in class. One day I had to leave the class because I felt sick as he did it. I dont envy you mate. I hope you as well as possible though.
morning all!! Back after an early run and a spot of work ...the thought of running early fills me with dread, but right about now i feel very virtuous Nice night for you then Yorkie! ugh! Thanks for the caramel latte Ak, and congrats! good luck! Sorry to hear about your ongoing problems NZ......bad news, hope you manage to get fixed up soon Good luck with the needles Dan, close your eyes and think of Watford
Dan, all things considered, I feel pretty lucky! I follow two teams who keep me entertained and I've met some lovely people in our virtual World on here, the only aggravation I feel is having to go to the hospital so often that keeps me away from here! If they crave my company, they could at least come to my home!
