Sorry all I had the wrong plant... it is celandine http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=187 I have just spent an afternoon digging up some of it... it is every where
It is everywhere in my garden The plant used to be known as Pilewort because it was used to treat haemorrhoids. Supposedly, the knobbly tubers of the plant resemble piles, and according to the doctrine of signatures this resemblance suggests that pilewort could be used to cure piles.... The plant is widely used in Russia and is sold in most pharmacies as a dried herb
thanks for the caramel latte Ak! i'm yet to see the bill but it will be very high, it took me over an hour on the phone, and i only phoned because everytime i went to pay online i got booted out the system. It was utterly shocking! night night my lovely little canary!
Morning all from a bright and very mild Weston-super-Mare! It's Summer time, I wonder how many days we get this year!
A beautiful day here. The grass is cut, the weeds are pulled, the spuds are earthed up, just a bit of watering to do before a nice cold beer.
Day was great to start with and I had it neatly planned. 4.00 pm here on a Saturday is reserved for football matters, but not this week. At 3.55 pm I was down the far field when there was a rumble of thunder. At 4.00 pm exactly I had to take refuge from a rain storm of tropical proportions. It lasted for the whole of the first half, (sorry 45 mins.) before it gave up. I suspect that the rain gods are having a laugh, as I have spent many a sunny afternoon glued to the computer.
I could BB, there are lots about, usually with food and a bar in attendance. Unfortunately there is not much singing or chanting and I might be recognised as a foreigner if I started to shout "shoot" too often.
It looks like the Pozzos may be trendsetters - I suspect that this was inevitable. http://www.football-italia.net/34869/de-laurentiis-ill-buy-english-club And the beauty of it is that he wants Palarse - won't Hollowhead be pleased.
