Perhaps you should get in touch with your feminine side and write like nanny o, could be more productive!

Afternoon all from a wet Jersey, although the drizzle we have at the moment is an improvement on the downpour we had when I woke up this morning.

    Thanks for the tea Ak.

You can eat the petals. It is not advisable to eat anything else of the plant, though it can be used in herbal remedies.

Already is up here - a sweltering 15C with the best yet to come. Unfortunately, it's school sports day today - will probably be cancelled due to the excessive heat.....

If you mean Calendula Officinalis then you can use the petals as a healthy substitute for Saffron when giving colour to rice etc.

When I saw what the number was, I immediately decided to get my tickets online for the simple reason that if I phoned to get the tickets, then Wave Telecom (the parent company for both Jersey Telecom and Guernsey Telecom) would've stung me big time as they have the monopoly with landlines in the islands.

Evening all from a hot and sunny Abu Dhabi - well the sun has just started to set, so not so sunny. Had a lovely morning on the beach and the afternoon by their pool drinking a few ice-cold beers - beats the M25 in the rain!
