Can't help feeling down. The missed opportunity keeps haunting me. Wish Cardiff hadn't got that late goal. Trying to think of other things but mind keeps wandering back to football. Still, positive, positive, positive. Of course we can still so it. Got to keep thinking that
Not to be eh..... we were by far the better team.... but with 10 men and two soft goals it was an uphill battle...
Morning all, it is a bright sunny morning here and time to get things back to normal. With an acre of grass that needs cutting today I will keep going until Thursday and see what turns up then. Maybe until then we should be like politicians, forecast the worse, so that any glimmer of hope seems like a major success. When discussing the play offs with Mme yesterday I did point out that we will be on holiday when the final is played, but felt sure that I would find a WiFi point somewhere. For some reason she did not seem impressed. I read that the Pozzos were at the game yesterday and received a good round of applause when they walked in front of the Rookery. Despite the disappointment it is good to know that people realise that without them we would not have even finished the season in third.
Over the past few seasons when relegation rather than promotion was in our minds, 54 points was the number we thought would see us safe. Posh managed that number and still went down. Maybe in future the number needs to be raised, although I hope it is not something we should worry about too much.
Agree - Posh are the sort of club I like to see do well - like Hull and Cardiff their fans are based in the real world and don't live in some fantasy land of when they were a so called big club
Thanks for the commiserations lads Could I have a couple of bottles of a good red & a quiet corner please
So sorry for you Minxy - great club and one of my favourite away days. Please bounce back straight away..
Good question ..... we have heard so many different stories over the past few years ... it's anybodies guess
Don't know how many have seen the stats in this article. It gives a breakdown of the number of 'home grown' players to play for every championship side this season. Watford are second with eight, whereas Palace could only manage three. Perhaps Hollowhead would like to comment. http://www.watford.vitalfootball.co.uk/sitepage.asp?a=318631
Just heard an interesting conspiracy theory - apparently Fergie put out a weak team against Chelsea to make sure they won and try to ensure that The Spuds do not get a Champions League place and it might make Bale receptive to an offer....very amusing
Aidy's Northampton through to Wembley ! - and against his home town club Bradford City, so happy for him !
Still feeling gutted about yesterday and I found out that despite copious amounts of alcohol, it does not dull the pain Never mind lifting the players, I need lifting as well! I have got mates who are both Leicester and Brighton fans going to be a long week/month!
OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed, remember, tomorrow is the first day in the rest of your life! Night all Night H
Evening all Spent today watching Hampshire play Scotland at cricket...easier on the nerves than yesterday even if Hampshire made heavy weather of winning.
