Morning all - blinkin' penguin weather up here, and I can't even see the road from my front window as the snow is coming down that heavily. Why can't it stay in Jersey where it belongs? A couple of handy results last night - promotion is in our own hands it would seem & number one spot is not out of reach yet.
Morning all - woke up to a slight dusting of snow on the ground and a few flakes in the air - first time that has ever happened to my knowledge on my birthday
Thanks everybody - turned into a nice quite sunny day here now and much warmer than recently - the biting wind has dropped. Going out later for a meal
Nice article from a legend in the Daily Heil - makes a change from that arse-wipe Samuels: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...established-Watford-force-really-quickly.html
It hasn't left here, it's just spread further. I was sliding all over the place on my way to work this morning - it seemed to be safer to drive than walk.
I expect that I could be be one of the few on here, if not the only one to remember Dave Bewley, who played for us in the early-middle 50s. We paid £500 to Fulham for him, and for two seasons he never missed a game. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10286676.Watford_s_oldest_known_player_passes_away/ It shows how when playing football came to an end there was no put your feet up and take it easy in those days. Go and find a job was needed and you would have been just as well off working in a factory as playing football.
