More snow is forecast and we have -7C but the wind make things colder. A good win for Watford last night and most of the other outcomes were favourable. One idea that I ahd was that if Hull City had won the pressure for Cardiff City would have been larger as the two chasing companies were arriving faster instead of stepping over each other every week.

It's a ploy Theo.... then when he says he needs his £100 for 30 minutes work ( tops) to feed his starving family... you cough up out of pity .. ;)

I am pleased Hull lost - we need a two horse race not a three horse - it does not matter ultimately whether we come second or top - but we do not want third if we can avoid it - suits me if Cardiff beat all our rivals and lose to us - I begin to think Palace are emerging as the strongest rival to us now though their form is better than Hull

Yes agreed.... I think the Hull game away, which i will be lucky enough to go to, will be defininig. If we dont lose to them, I think we could be stronger on the run in....
Yes Palace.. with Kevin Phillips!.... look very strong...

I think any two from these 4......

Signs of a definite wobble in Wales. Their fans are really starting to think that should they get promoted MM would not be the man to spend the promised £m's. They should have enough of a gap over us to creep over the line, but they are looking over their shoulders now and trying to work out who plays who and what the likely outcome will be.

Thanks Sandy - and everyone else for their good wishes - means a lot.

I think Cardiff has avoided the wobble just long enough to make it to top spot - they should get to around 90 points - we could get close to that and could be there if they fall.

I think it is now a 3 horse race for second spot with us very marginally the favourites. We may yet rue those second half goals conceded to Palace - the key is Hull away - avoid defeat there and they have a lot to do

Hope they do wobble, would be quite funny, which of course means you'll take advantage and finish top ;)

i also think Palace are on a good run at the moment...i think Hull might be starting to slip up...and Cardiff too. Definitely it seems a 4 horse race at the moment and truth is, we can't afford to lose many points over the next 10 games. Tough ask!

As you say, a couple of hours. If you would like to share some thoughts or whatever, e-mail '[email protected]'. I go back as far as cliff holton ( the reason I started watching WFC was a goal he scored from outside the box. If goalie HAD got in the way, he would simply have gone into the net with the ball. Freddie bunce, mike benning, Catleugh, Mcneice, Chung.... Happy days!
We have a little cottage in 16350 (called 'Petit Paradis' after my grandmother described her tiny house on the river crouch as 'her little piece of heaven'. Can't wait to get back there - but will be home in Cheshire for Leeds (the last match of season I hope as it means auto promotion)!
    Cheers

He had to cut and replace the pipe in the end as well as resealing so it took him an hour and a half. I shall be applying for a plumbing mortgage in the morning :steam:

Looks like a lovely area. We go to Lacs du Haut Vienne sometimes, & rochefoucauld.
We go to confolens occasionally for shopping - we are at Loume , midway ( almost exactly) between Ruffec & Confolens.
It's exactly half way from Cheshire to a tiny village in Portugal son, wife and soon to be born new WFC supporter.
We don't bother with velo rail as we have our own tandem. Cycled down to Biarritz last year, brilliant, then to Pau (actually arrived day before Le Tour hove into view) and back to bordeaux. Expect to cycle St Nazaire to Basel in September - euro velo 6. rivers, canals, so not too challenging.
We spend about 4 months there, mid Mar to mid apr, June & july and september. Will miss some of this years run-in, but will definitely go to last game.
We usually go by car via St. malo, but fly via Limoges/Liddypool if it's a short visit home (Cheshire).
    Good to hear from you.
