I saw the traffic backed uo towards The Dome when I came over it on the 405 OFH. Too late now, but you should have turned off onto the 405 and nipped through Nascott Wood and come out at the top of the town. Anyway, glad you got home safe and sound and enjoyed the game.

Warm today, we have nearly 10C. Our car fuel has been rising recently but has started to be cheaper. The odd thing is diesel fuel is now cheaper than the petrol. I did a sum and our petrol is now more expensive than in England but diesel is cheap.

Morning all from a overcast West West London - thanks for the frothy AK.

Some good news from the comments from Dan - good to get this FL crap out of the way. Only bad news is friendlies at home - we wanted a few days away on tour!

Maybe the plan is to hold an annual mini-tournament ( The Pozzo Plate? ) and rotate the venue each year - Us, Udinese, Granada and A.N. Other. :)

It's what I've been wanting since they took over... little trips away to the 'family' would be nice! Could you get away with saying you're visiting the family?

Now who would we want as the 4th team? A team in the South of France? I have a friend who plays rugby for Toulon, so maybe a long weekend down there would be good! Although maybe a team in their 6th division would be a bit too low for the Pozzos!

Monaco are currently top of the Championship and could well go up this season, or Nimes are pretty far south and likely to stay in the division, whereas Arles Avignon are in the bottom three and could go down. All towns with a distinctly southern feel. ;)

Could the A.N. Other be a neutral venue rather than another team? Although I hear that there is a Lithuanian who owns a top flight Edinburgh club who could do with some cash...

Yes it was one of those days when I missed seeing anyone despite having a search at half time. Still three points was what I really hoping to see and that part of the day didn't disappoint. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Nice article, I didn't realise how deep their connections went...

"When this correspondent visited Granada in January, 10 of the squad for the match against Rayo Vallecano were loan players, including seven from Udinese. The Pozzos and Pina have excellent relationships with several other clubs, including the Portuguese giants Benfica, who lent them three players last season. Further down the scale, the chain continues. Pina is also a major shareholder at third-tier Cadiz, and has appointed his father, Juan Jose, as president. Cadiz took nine Granada players on loan last term"

Could well be - like the Pozzos, he is a multi-club owner, also owning the Lithuanian club FBK Kaunas and Belarusian club FC Partizan Minsk. He's also in the habit of bulk loaning players between his clubs.

Sunny Italy, sunny Spain and sunny Scotland - can't be bad! ;)
