Bl**dy hell BB - that's a dirge - it makes "Yellow" seem like a quick step - and it talks of the colours of Scotland - what would they be then oh yes - Blue and White - <doh>

I nearly topped myself listening to that. Had to put some Leonard Cohen on to liven things up a bit!

<laugh> Some people are simply musically challenged I suppose. i did say that it was probably too Scottish, but it does have a certain 'anthem' appeal!

    There's a thought - Leonard Cohen's 'Anthem' :emoticon-0138-think

Evening all - fascinating programme on BBC 4 regarding Googles plans to digitise as many of the worlds books as they can. Real scarey stuff and reinforces my concerns about Googles intrusion into our lives. Very interesting that the heads of the big libraries in th Uk, readily agreed for them to scan their books - whilst France and Germany amongst others have refused access to their classic libraries.

I see DiCanio has quit, I hope for Swindons sake the planned take over does not happen. Mike Newell and Brian Stein will be a total disaster.

Morning all from the sun soaked rural France.

The ground is drying out after the soaking we had earlier in the year, at least I don't have water splashing over the boots as I go along the lane.

Heading north Thursday and notice that the weather man was talking about more snow in the south east of England. Maybe I shouldn't put the thermals away until I get back.

As I seem to have had a chest infection for the last six months or so, a Lemsip to start the day would be greatly appreciated.:)

Today up here is, like yesterday, sunny with blue skies. Unfortunately though, there is still a minus sign in front of the temperature reading. :(

Oh how I love our NHS - today was an improvememnt on last time - Mrs L's appointment was at 10.45 and she actually got seen at 12.30 so only one and three quarter hours delay - and the Professor asked how she was feeling and how the side effects were going and she was "done" in 5 minutes. Then an hour's drive home again. Fantastic
