They haven't played competitive football for 10 years since being completely embarrassed in the 2003 Island Games - I've even looked on the Guernsey FA website to see if they're involved in one of their competitions and they're not. The reason I looked there is that Sark is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. One of the other players is listed as Scotty.
There is a long answer to this but because it is so boring I will try to be brief. I was trying to remember the name of the full back we had a few years ago from mainland Europe who went to St Mirren, I think. I wondered if he still played for them. To jog my memory I looked up the Wiki list of players who have played for us less than 50 times. David Connelly's name is on that list. I had a vague recollection that he still plays for Portsmouth. Portsmouth have a Gibraltrian international playing for them, but as Gibraltar are not recognised by FIFA who do they play? There is a football tournament called The Island Games which is competed for by island teams such as Gibraltar, the Isle of Wight, Greenland, Gotland, Minorca. Sark participated in this tournament once in 2003 (P 4 W 0 D 0 L 4 F 0 A 70 Pts 0). Have Sark a top Scorer? Yes but I don't know who it is. Victoria Rang is on the team list. You can see why people like to have me on their quiz teams.
Nothing wrong with players with only one name. We've had that Spanish bloke. Brazil have had Pele. Sark have got Scotty.

Very true Leo. Although I detested the teaching methods from back then, I have to admit that they were very likely more successful than what is in place now. We too have an overbearing pillock for an Education Minister up here who has mastered the art of bullying in order to push through his education reforms - and then taken to blatantly lying to the press to 'prove' that his reforms are working. He has also added blackmail to his armoury, as teachers are all under the threat of being sacked should they make any attempts to publicly debunk his claims. A pride of lions? I guess we'll have to disagree about team - it's certainly a collective noun, but as to abstract or concrete, for me the members of the team are the 'concrete' whereas the team itself is a concept - therefore abstract. Like a lot of things in education though, it's not something really worth an argument.
I too got 13/14, opting for pride as an abstract noun, which of course it is. The fact that it has two meanings, one of which is collective escaped my notice. I would add another question: 15. What do you call a pillock who includes trick questions in a simple quiz?

Agreed - a simple question like that can be interpreted in different ways and you sometimes need to be able to supply reasons for the answer you give. To me they were not referring to pride as in a pride of lions because if they were it would then not be abstract unlike pride IN something which is - so the question then fails or the answer has to include abstract, concrete AND collective - which it does not.
