Thanks for the frapachino AK, but an iced drink is not what i need this morning -8 on the way in today. Brass monkeys as they say!
I've been to the Old Melbourne Gaol where he was hung, quite interesting for those with a morbid fascination like myself.
Morning all and thanks for the coffee AK, was -7c when i left for work in eastern bandit country and it certainly felt it!!! Was pleased to see that most of the roads were clear of ice and it was looking like a lovely day. However the mist/fog is coming down quickly now so it should be interesting for the journey home later. I'm off to visit our warehouse in Lincolnshire tomorrow as I need to re-organise the spare parts department. Suspect I'm going to need multiple layers tomorrow as the section of the warehouse for spare parts was original designed to store flower bulbs so it is well ventilated, not insulated!!!!!!!!! At least it will give me a test run on how to cope with a cold Friday night (Crystal Palace match ).
A very expensive week ahead, wifes car in for MOT and Service, her car needs new Cam belt which was picked up last year but it needs doing on the 6th year which is this year, only £500 for parts labour inc Service and the MOT and guess what happens tomorrow, my car goes in for a Service and is 6 years old so I guess another £500 spent tomorrowand we just renewed our insurance this week which was over £300 for the pair of us best I don't spend any money on anything else this week Bl@@dy cars
At international level, probably never - but for my Australian alter ego it is very much in fashion at international level.
I had to change insurers to get a better deal - ended up paying half what i had been quoted for renewal - same with RAC they put the price up every year so I got quotes from Green Flag and AA and the RAC matched prices - saved me £60
Had a good day so far - it was another hospital visit but this time no Gatso went off, no accidents closed the motorway, there was no snow on the roads, the appointment was spot on time and within an hour we were leaving with the medication and another hour we were home. Mrs L will have to have another heart scan in about a month and her thyroxine levels are all shot it seems but she has had a thyroid problem for 20 years so they can fix that - so all in all was a good visit.
On the car insurance note - it is optional here. Personally, I think this is rediculous. So at least back in Blighty all have to covered or face court. Here you either hit and run or agree out of court if you don't have insurance. I don't own a car and it is probably better that way.
http://www1.whdh.com/news/articles/...professor-seeking-woman-to-clone-neanderthal/ Only in America....... and the worry is that he will doubtless find someone willing. Perhaps we could convince him that it has already been done by sending him a picture of Joey Barton.

Glad of your good news Leo Well picked up the other half's car and one bill for £583.75 when they changed the Cam they noticed the fan belt was split, (they showed me when I picked the car up )so that had to be changed as well
The game between Rouen and Marseilles has been postponed because of the smell of rotten eggs. There has been a gas leak at a chemical plant which produces additives that go into paint and I did hear that the smell had drifted 200 kms to the south coast of England. No health problems, but just a dreadful pong. That of course is a minor happening when compared with the following food related news item. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21141244
Its been causing problems here in Watford with people reporting the smell of gas which means my dad had to work on past his scheduled end of shift to investigate all the calls.
