I think he (MS) might regret moving. Esspecially now, with the new management and all.

Cheers for the Paloma AK. Will go down well over lunch !

    Have a good week all.

Someone said they saw two people who could have been from Ísland. That was not me as I was alone. I did not even see Bragí who told me to look for a green hússar jacket.

One of the administrators at work mentioned to my colleagues in the fund accounting department it's my big birthday on Thursday. I wasn't best pleased - not, I hasten to add, that they know but they didn't find out of their own accord.

I think that with the info creeping out about Baz, MS might not have had much choice in the matter.

I must admit, we had no idea that being in the bus would give us that advantage, but it was definitely worth going as a group, just to get out quickly! lol

He does tweet a hell of a lot..and quite often defends himself against people who constantly insult him...i don't get why he fuels the flames! I have to admit though, he's gone a bit quiet lately..or maybe i unfollowed him, i can't remember now! lol

He just wanted to get spotted ;)

Morning all from another very mild West West London - it was 10C when I left bandit country at 06.00. Apparently we are due some cold weather by the end of the week though....
Thanks for the frothy AK - perfect timing!

Afternoon all from a tired location in bandit country. Feeling rough and suspect that all the coughing and spluttering from my colleagues have finally got to me. Plus was up late last night with Mrs Sandy on emergency fancy dress making duty. We didn't read the school letter properly and Miss Sandy was expected to be in fancy dress this morning. Either a historical costume, national costume or something to do with one of the new term subjects. This term there is a section about child labour so we sent Miss Sandy off this morning as an old Victorian chimney sweep. Even got her to say "Cor Blimey, I'm a chimney sweep" so she can sound authentic <doh>.

Good day all, Very cold here, only 3C.:emoticon-0162-coffe Very much needed.

Back to my French lesson for the first time in six months. <yikes> How the same word can have two different meanings, one masculine and one feminine is beyond me. Some of words to be learnt would never be used in English, but I will store them in my head if I can find a bit of spare space. ;)

Ah Frenchy, I self-study Spanish a lot, obviously I need it out here. Not the fastest process but goes a long way to put the effort in. Good luck !!

Got a right stiff throat this morning so think I'll throw a lot of salt in the Paloma, Cheers AK.

That's not unusual in English - lead and right immediately spring to mind - as does mind I suppose, not to mention spring.;)

Another crap day at a hospital - not only kept waiting two and a half hours past due appointment to be seen by some little girl probably still at school who called herself a registrar instead of the Professor we were due to see - as he is ill - she casually dropped into the conversation whether he had discussed the result of the heart scan taken a few weeks ago - no we said, why? - oh nothing she says before telling us that Mrs L's heart was working at 39% output or some such and with these new cancer pills that could be a problem - really ?? would never have guessed. We had hoped that at least the heart attack problems were left behind but it seems not. Double crap - no news ever gets good.

That is terrible, Leo - am I alone in thinking that the NHS should give more consideration to patients such as your wife? Surely making someone in her condition wait for two and a half hours does nothing but exacerbate her condition? I would have thought that, at the very least, they could have saved the bother of travelling for that by ringing and offering an alternative appointment with the main man upon his return?

Really sorry to hear of your experiences Lenny and hope things improve in 2013.

My ma-in-law has been in and out of hospital for most of 2012 and mostly the experiences have been dreadful. She is getting very frail and has Parkinson's which is turning into dementia - to counter the effects of Parkinson's she has to have a couple of tablets every 3 hours. On many many occasions the pa-in-law or Mrs W_Y has found they had been missed, and mostly not just once but 2 or 3 times!! Even if you can find someone to complain to it's a waste of time....

Leo I am really sorry at your lousy day. Both of you are never far from our thoughts, but sometimes I wonder just what is happening in the NHS. Our daughter works within it and can be very critical sometimes.

Can't remember if I mentioned it here, but our friend who lives in Hay on Wye was left in suspense for over ten days at the hospital in Swansea as to when they would give him his heart bypass operation. Eventually he had it and is now at home, but the whole period of not knowing did him little good.

Please give our best wishes to Mrs Leo and both of you stay strong for each other.

Sorry to hear that Leo. Ironic when you think Cameron has just announced his government are working flat out on improving the quality of NHS service...with little effect it seems.
