The commentator who shared the Watford game along with Jon Marks was just as bad. The ball headed cleared by an unknown WFC defender, Hogg playing in goal for us. <doh>

To think he was actually paid to go to the game.:(

Evening all - Got back early afternoon after an eventful day yesterday. Journey up was nice and easy and I spent an hour or so in Manchester in a few pubs before getting a bus back to the ground and had a beer with an old mate who is a City fan outside the ground - I had to pretend to be City fan as those bars are supposed to be for home fans only! After the game was a different experience - we lost one of our group as he decided to propose to a women working in a chippy and then got lost, so we had to find him. After that I got a train back into Manchester and to the hotel we were booked in and met up with my mate again. Yes Yorkie, we will have to choose another parking option next season! I got the train back this morning and Little Miss W_Y got a lift to Mansfield as she was working with the OB company covering it for ESPN.
Still feel a little deflated as we just did not really play to our potential, I suppose some many forced changes did not help. Although beating them was always a bit of a stretch, I thought we could have managed a draw and bring them back to The Vic.

Funniest comments on the latest Suarez cheating was by Alan Green on 5 Live. Although stating that he had not seen it as they had no TV feedback at the ground, he suggested that Liverpool supporters should not disown Suarez if he had cheated because Arsenal fans had not disowned Henri when he handed for France against Ireland! - quite a stretch even for Mr Green. Liverpool fans covered themselves in glory again - singing to Mansfield "Your support is f**king ****" even after Mansfield left 96 seats empty and place the names of one of the 96 on each seat and they even played You'll Never Walk Alone before the game. Good to see that there are still some things you can rely on...

Morning all from another mild day in West West London - it was 8C when I left bandit country.

Sorry about the bum stear on parking Yorkie, as you say will have to avoid it next season. After the game we got a train back into Piccalilli from the station just behind the parking place and it looked like there is probably more street parking with a quicker getaway down there, so that will be the plan next season!

    Thanks for the coffee AK

    No worries w_y.

I will work it better next time.... I had to cross all the stadium outflows to get to the other side for my journey... next time I will park my side of the stadium. Has to be the worst ever but such is life and no hurry etc...

Just very positive about going there next season ;)

We enjoyed our day out and it was exciting for us being in the City end... although a couple of times I did shout out!!

Morning all, cloudy but dry here, but not that warm. :( Mind you it was very warm with a lovely smell in the bakers when I went on the bread run. You can actually watch the baker cooking while his wife serves the fresh bread and cakes.;)

Well that is one little dream over, although I felt we had woken up gently rather than with a bump. The stats suggest that we did as well as most teams that visit the place.

Looking at the stats again, I see that the home record for Borough is rather good. Not too sure that we can get a pick-me-up there.

Am I the only person to take any twisted joy from the Scummers cup success, and long may it continue? I am hoping they will take their eye of the pub league and miss out on promotion again.

I'm with you Zen, although some short term crap to throw at them is always welcome. At the moment I can still use Woking...

If some professional footballers put as much focus into their game as they did on FB and Twatter, they might become better players...
