You'll have to explain that one.;)

Given that the name has a long history in these islands - considerably pre-dating French involvement/influence - exactly why is it perfect for France, and why is it 'iffy'?

Farage is a Scottish name I believe.

Should be interesting for a UK politician if Salmon gets his way and Nigel has to show his passport to get into his ancestral home.;)

H, sorry to hear about your friend - my Dad was only 57 when he died.

Nick, when you said about Sark being in charge of France, I got a bit confused with Sark being a Channel Island. Then I realised you were talking about Mr Carla Bruni.

Morning All, rather wet here this morning, so no frost overnight. ;)

What is the weather like in Watford as I read that a pitch inspection is going to take place today? :(

Since the little flurry of snow this morning, it's been Mr Blue Sky. I can't see there being a problem with the pitch unless there is a serious frost or snow overnight. Even then, thats what undersoil heating is for right?

Evening all, another week done and dusted. A very busy day today, started with a phone call at 6am from Mrs Sandys friend "i've gone into labour can we drop the kids round?". 40 minutes later and 2 small children arrive on the doorstep and ready for breakfast <yikes>. Happy to announce that they have a baby girl and both mother and baby doing well. Looking forward to getting home as the kids are still there and it will be interesting to come home to a house with 4 crazy children instead of 2.

As it is Friday I've left the drinks out on the bar so please help yourself!!!

Bring on tomorrow and hopefully 3 more points and possibly 4th place. COYH!!!

Afternoon all - horrible weather in bandit country. It poured with rain all night and then light snow this morning and now quite cold. Been up the ladder fixing the outside lights this afternoon - still that's another job off of Mrs W_Y's list! <yikes>

Got our tickets for the City game ordered this afternoon, upper tier already sold out - looks like we may sell all our allocation!!

Also some great news just in - Little Miss W_Y has been drawn out in the ballot for Ashes tickets at The Oval and she will be taking her old Dad! - result!

Blimey, in NZ women normally go to hospital to give birth. Even if they have a home birth they don't usually then drop the newborns round at neighbours.

Thanks for the drinks Sandy, most convivial of you sir...

We had booked to go Ice Staking at Somerset House tonight, but Mrs W_Y has a really bad knee again and it's probably not the best activity - real shame as Somerset House is beautiful and with a big Xmas tree and decorations it is wonderful. After that a visit to the Xmas market on the South Bank to sample some Glögg and other Xmas fancies was planned - oh well, next year will feel even better.

    Cheers everyone

You're welcome - if I can I like to try to remind people I know are likely to want to post - you wont believe though how many times I have nearly forgotten to post myself as I load up so many scores it often seems I have done it :)
