Anyone who knows Clarkson knows a) he IS a bit of a prat but b) he says things over the top for a reaction - anyone daft enough to think he really would want people shot in front of their families really is suffering from a hiumour bypass (even if the joke is poor)

I thought you had one go. How many chances do you want? Neither of us here when we spotted the statement by Clarkson thought it anything but playing for effect, certainly not serious. The woman from a union who was complaining looked as if she had been sucking lemons all day.
Clarkson is another example of the poor quality that the BBC employs these days - they only put up with him (and apologise for him) because of the sales of Top Gear. They sacked Woss for far less....and he was far funnier. Just more dumbing down from those that give us Savage....
